(( The song she is singing is: Click! ))
It wasn't often the owners of the Three Broomsticks set up a stage for local bands to play. There was a considerably large stack of paperwork for a gig so small as this, and a fair majority of the groups had rather take up their instruments elsewhere than waste time signing a bunch of useless parchments. There were barely enough songs to hold the public's interest anyway, so why bother filling out forms and the like? It was all very ridiculous and unneccessary to Prue, who had just spent the last three hours of yesterday working everything out for her mates. It was amazing the level of patience she had experianced in doing this, usually she'd have gotten frustrated and killed the entire thing right there. She probably would have, too, if this hadn't meant so much to her friends.
Paperwork and quills were the furthest things from her mind now, as the lights dimmed and they made their way on to the stage. She took her place at the mic, wrapping her fingers tenderly around it like she had done so many times before. Tapping two fingers against the mesh to make sure it was working--a daily pre-play band ritual--Prue wet her lips, highlighted by a dim light the colour of blood. "You wanna know more, more, more, 'bout me?" She began, breath billowing into her lungs as the song continued, and various witches and wizards present were soon bobbing their heads to the beat, smiling and mouthing the words to themselves. The beat pumped wildly in her chest, and a huge smile split her face. Doing what you loved did that to you. The melody rang on, crisp and clear, soon nearing its end. "Hey, hey.." Prue grinned, her head jerking just the right way as to have her hair, turning redder and more vibrant with each passing second, whirl around to the other side of her face. "Get tangled up in me." The lights flashed, then faded to black, and a fair few of the people watching stood up and clapped loudly. The rest, yes, slapped their palms together, be it politely, but at least the majority loved their performance. Still needed to work on that solo, though. They'd deal with that back at Hogwarts.
Breath calming, the Hufflepuff basked in the aftermath of their song, practically glowing as the lights returned and she stepped off the stage. Seeing as these were borrowed instruments they didn't have to drag them all the way back to the school; they could just go shopping or something. Shaking her head a little as the red, orange, and yellow faded from her tousled locks, Prue grabbed the nearest seat she could find as another band readied themselves to play. The sound of someone sitting beside her tugged her cheek in that direction, and she blinked slowly, smiling. "Hey."
